Uncontrolled Airspace

Lesson Overview

In this lesson, we will explore airspace that is not controlled by Air Traffic Control (ATC). "Uncontrolled Airspace" is a term widely used to identify a specific type of airspace, such as Class (G) Airspace. In Class (G) Airspace, aircraft are pretty much on their own. Common services that are provided to an aircraft in Controlled Airspace, like Flight Following, Radar Service, Separation and Sequencing are not provided to aircraft in Glass (G) Airspace.
